10th Battalion Welsh Regiment (1st Rhondda), WWI British Trio, awarded to 22260 Private James Powell, while at Mametz Wood 1916, Powell was wounded while under attack, receiving a gunshot wound to his left knee and wound to his waist, he was taken by ambulance and his majesty's Steam Ship 'St Andrew' back to Southampton, where he was later examined and declared as physically fit for war service and discharged, he is entitled to wear the silver wound badge, number J/686
