‘Egbert or Savery', a larger 1st World war ‘soldier’ Teddy Bear, belonged to Christine Savery, with pinkish mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced muzzle, black stitched mouth, pipe-cleaner ears, pin jointed swivel head and limbs —6in. (15.5cm.) high (some general wear); and a letter from a relative of Christine’s saying how happy they were that the bear had come to Teddy Bears of Witney - see Some of our Favourite Bears by Ian Pout, page 28
