A 19th century Staffordshire pottery group, damaged, modelled as a bull with a dog, chips and losses, 24.5cm wide
The group is well modelled and has nice polychrome enamel decoration. The bull has lost his looped tail, from the the rear to adjoining the back. Both horns are absent and the bull's right ear is missing. Bull terrier appears to have been broken off and restuck, hairlines associated with this. The bull terrier's inside rear leg is absent - this cannot be seen on casual observation. There is a figure absent from the group (probably a farmer) and only their shoes remain. Remains an attractive example of this rare figure group.
