A rare 19th century German china shoulder head infant, with head slightly turned to the right, blue upward glancing eyes, red dot to inner corner of eye and red eyelid line, single stroke black brow, podgy nose, double chin, exposed ears, brown painted unmoulded hair, china forearms with well modelled fingers and china lower legs with modelled toes, white cotton robe, bonnet and underclothes —20 1/2in. (52cm.) high (right hand fingers very well restored, have not checked feet as socks will not easily come off)
