A rare Chad Valley Dart’s Tich cloth doll early 1930s, with painted stockinette face, jointed cloth body, original cloth comprising wool cloth cap and jacket, felt shorts and cotton shirt, socks and shoes and original card tag —10in. (25.5cm.) high (small hole to face, discoloured and faded) - Tich was a comic strip written by Frank Dowling and illustrated by “Dart.” The original “Dart” was a man named Martin, although it is uncertain if this was a surname or a last name.
