2nd Battalion Welsh Regiment, WWI British Mon-Star Trio, awarded to 7109 Private Sydney William Harris (Old Contemptable), Harris was wounded during heavy German Machine Gun Fire and then captured, after treatment he was transported to Friedrichsfield Prisoner of War Camp, he was considered a 'trouble maker', arrangements were made to move him along with other 'trouble makers' to Limberge P.O.W camp, unfortunately before the move Harris died of a Kidney Infection on 14th April 1915, aged 31 (3)
