A rare British 1920s ‘Imperial Bee Esq’ soft toy, an advertising piece for New Zealand Imperial Bee Honey, black and orange mohair, painted velvet face, clear and black glass eyes with orange painted backs, felt ears, swivel head, wired limbs with yellow felt hands, black oil-cloth feet, original ribbon and replaced muslin wings —12 1/2in. (32cm.) high (thinning to orange mohair on back) - this unusual toy was made by a few manufactures, I own one with a Luvmee (NZ) card tag and have also seen them with Chad Valley and Ealon Toys labels
