An early 20th century Meissen porcelain allegorical figural group, 18cm high, damaged and with repairs and restoration, modelled as a young faun with drum riding a dog

A charming figure which is well decorated. There is fritting and chipping to the edge of the base. The faun's right ankle and hoof are absent.The drumstick is missing from the hand of the raised right arm. The tip of the dog's right ear is chipped. The tip of the dog's tongue is chipped. The loop of the tail has been broken and is absent. There is evidence of a restoration to the top swag of the faun's cape, which has been reattached. The repair flouresces under UV 'blacklight' but no other repairs are evident under such.
