Uruguay, a pair of important, original hand drawn, early stage design essays for the face and reverse of the 1939 or 1948 1 Peso circulation note, produced probably for De La Rue, the two designs are on paper, mounted to larger backing paper, in pencil, ink, and watercolour, measure 6.5cms x 12.9cms, both designs are in good clean condition, there is some crinkling of the paper and edges of the designs, probably from the use of glue used to mount the designs
