A J.K. Farnell Teddy Bear, similar design to the original Winnie the Pooh, from the Strafford upon Avon Teddy Bear museum, with golden mohair, orange and black glass eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth, webbed hand claws and feet claws, swivel head, jointed limbs with cloth pads, hump and inoperative growler —22in. (56cm.) high (pads covered, general wear and thinning, fading and dusty) - when the real Christopher Robin Milne visited Gyles Brandreth’s museum, he was shown this Farnell bear, he turned the bear towards the wall and that was how he was displayed until he was finally sold to Ian at the Christie’s auction of the museum’s collection; he now faces out of the cabinet.
